I was there that fateful day when it all came to a head. Dave was doing the show at the Chicago theater, and they had it out, kind of covertly, in front of us all. Robert Palmer was a guest, and did a rousing rendition of "Bad Case of Lovin' You." During the break, Dave announced that Penn & Teller would be tomorrow's guests, and we groaned in disappointment that we missed them. He replied, "hey, you want me to bring OPRAH back?" Awkward. o.o
